Yes, the Royal Palace is highly accessible. While the grand staircase is a main feature, a modern, high-capacity elevator allows wheelchair users to reach the main floor and State Rooms. The terrain in the courtyard is smooth granite (5Hz vibration). All public areas, including the Royal Armory and the Pharmacy, are step-free or served by lifts. Security staff provide priority access to PRM visitors, bypassing the main queues at the entrance.

Excellent PMR restrooms are located on the ground floor near the main entrance and the Royal Armory. They feature automatic doors, emergency call buttons, and support rails by Thyssenkrupp. The turning radius is 1.8 meters, making them suitable for large electric wheelchairs. These facilities are among the best maintained in the city's public monuments.

The best drop-off point is at 'Plaza de la Armería' (40.416800, -3.714500). Taxis can drop passengers directly near the accessible entrance gate. The area is flat with flush curbs. Avoid being dropped at Plaza de Oriente during events, as security barriers may force a 300-meter roll over uneven ground.
