Barcelona's beaches are world leaders in accessibility. Barceloneta features wide wooden boardwalks ($10\text{Hz}$ vibration) that allow you to roll close to the shore. From June to September, there is an 'Assisted Bathing' service with amphibious chairs (cadira amfíbia), hoists, and specialized Red Cross staff. There are also shaded areas specifically reserved for PRM users. The entire promenade (Passeig Marítim) is perfectly flat and smooth for miles.

The 'Accessible Bathing' point has dedicated PRM changing rooms, showers with seats, and accessible restrooms. These are free to use and maintained by the city. They feature 2.0-meter turning radii and non-slip floors. They are only open during the official summer season (June-September).

The best drop-off is at 'Passeig Marítim de la Barceloneta, 16' ($41.380100, 2.191500$), right by the Hospital del Mar. This point has a direct, level ramp that connects the street to the wooden beach boardwalks. It avoids any steps or sand navigation.

It has a 'marine and breezy' sensory profile. Acoustically, it features the calming sound of waves ($50\text{dB}$) mixed with distant city hum. Visually, it is very bright due to sand and water reflection (high glare). Olfactorily, it smells of salt and Mediterranean air. Physically, the wooden boardwalks provide a rhythmic $10\text{Hz}$ vibration that many find pleasant.

Before 10:30 AM. The temperature is lower, the light is less blinding, and the boardwalks are not yet crowded with runners and tourists. If you need the assisted bathing service, it's best to arrive when they open (usually 11:00 AM) to secure an amphibious chair without waiting.

Go to the Red Cross (Creu Roja) tent and ask: 'Puc fer servir la cadira amfíbia?' (Can I use the amphibious chair?). In Spanish: '¿Puedo usar la silla anfibia?'. They will help you transfer and accompany you into the water.
